We try to stay organized as the data flies into our arms. The 12-page pdf resource below is a reflection of how we currently label and organize our project directories for websites, applications, video productions and print materials. It is highly influenced by the "File organization" taxonomy developed by AREA17 featured here in their Design techniques microsite. Our studio has used their technique as a baseline and tweaked over the years to serve our needs as our projects matured.

Download the PDF guide below to help structure or evolve your active projects better. We welcome input from teams using different taxonomies and hope to iterate ours further soon.

For example, we find ourselves designing more often "in-code" and creating less formal wireframes than previously. We're re-thinking our web project naming conventions for 2018 and welcome advice from small-to-medium sized teams on how they're organizing their project files.
